Etihad Airways Advisory: COVID-19 testing requirements have changed for all passengers from the UK

The COVID-19 PCR testing requirements have changed for all passengers flying to or transiting via the UAE from the UK.

Passengers must take a COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours before their flight departure time

It is mandatory for all passengers to have a COVID-19 PCR test before they fly with Etihad Airways. From 24 December, guests flying from the UK are required to have a COVID-19 PCR test a maximum of 72 hours before their flight departure time.

This also applies for guests transiting via Abu Dhabi to any onward destination.

Tests can be taken at any government accredited medical facility.

A valid test result must be presented at check-in, and guests may also be asked to provide evidence of their appointment, such as an appointment confirmation.

Children under 12 and people with severe and moderate disabilities are exempt from COVID-19 PCR testing.

Are your guests eligible to travel?

UAE residents returning to Abu Dhabi are required to visit uaeentry.ica.gov.ae to verify their entry status before flying to the UAE.
