Grand Canyon’s New Zipline Soars 305m Above Ground

Ever dreamed of soaring sky-high above the Grand Canyon? Well, you no longer have to imagine it – not when the park’s new zipline attraction allows visitors to glide through the West Rim at 305m high. If you think all you’re getting is a bird’s-eye-view of the canyon’s majestic surroundings, think again: you’ll practically be flying through one of the seven natural wonders of the world at super speed! Sounds like the ultimate experience of a lifetime, no?

As always, good things come with a price: each two-way zipline costs $89USD (~S$118) per rider. Though we must add that one zipline’s 335m long, and the other’s 640m (not to mention steeper), and you’ll be accelerating at speeds as high as 80km/h! Also, four riders will get to ride the zipline at a time – which means you and your pals will get to race it out while you’re side-by-side, up in the air!

Tickets can only be bought on site. Riders are entitled to not just a trip along both zip-lines, but also shuttle transportation from the parking area to other Grand Canyon West attractions like Eagle Point, Guano Point and Hualapai Ranch (and the opportunity to meet Hualapai travel ambassadors)!

The zipline is the latest addition to the lineup of attractions at Grand Canyon West, such as the Skywalk, a transparent U-shaped walkway perched over the cliff of the West Rim, offering heart-dropping views of the canyon floor from 1,220m above.
